In Gaza, Hamas security forces corner three men accused of kidnapping & murdering Vittorio Arrigoni in a house in Nuseirat refugee camp: Bilal al-Omari, Muhammad al-Salfiti, & Abdel Rahman al-Braizat, a Jordanian who had snuck into Gaza a few weeks ago. During a gun battle, al-Braizat had set off a bomb that killed al-Omari & left al-Salfiti wounded. Al-Braizat then shot himself dead.  Three officers were wounded.


Channel Two News in Israel has broadcast this video showing a special assault unit attacking Palestinian prisoners on Oct. 22 2007. Al Jazeera has picked up the story.

Both of his parents belonged to the Israeli Communist Party. He was an actor who starred in The Little Drummer Girl & dozens of Israeli movies. He produced & directed the documentary Arna's Children. He stated in an interview "I am 100 percent Palestinian and 100 percent Jewish."

Israel in March saw massive worker protests & strikes, leading to a rise in the minimum wage thru an agreement between major unions & the business confederation. But as this video points out, Israel still has the second largest gap between rich & poor (after the US.) The main reason for that is Israeli governments have spent their money on the Occupation while cutting social services in Israel itself.
