An unprecedented three-way meeting of security advisers from Israel, the
US and Russia about Syria’s future was held in Jerusalem this week.

The conference came amid escalating tensions between Washington and
Tehran, following US President Donald Trump’s decision to pull out of
the Iran nuclear deal last year and enforce a series of economic
sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
