A.M., Civil Administration personnel came with a military-jeep escort
to the Palestinian communities of: Khirbet a-Ras al-Ahmar, al-Burj,
Khirbet al-Malih and 'Ein al-Meyteh in the northern Jordan Valley. The
forces instructed more than 50 families numbering a total of 291 people,

On the morning of Thursday, 31 January 2019, at around 8:00
A.M., Israeli Civil Administration personnel came with a Border Police
escort to the region of Masafer Yatta (Greater Yatta) in the South
Hebron Hills. They brought a bulldozer and a tractor which they used to
dig a deep trench across the road that connects the community of Sh’ab
al-Botum with the rest of the Masafer Yatta communities. The Israeli
military had already torn up the road a year earlier, in late 2017, and
the residents then repaved it. These travel restrictions are but another
step in a long saga of harassment by the authorities against the local
residents, adopted in an effort to drive them out of their homes and the
area.

On 30 January 2019, at around 8:30 A.M., Jerusalem Municipality officials came with a Border Police escort and a bulldozer to the neighborhood of Wadi al-Joz in East Jerusalem, where they demolished a two-story building. The first floor housed three tire repair shops, and the second consisted of three apartments not yet inhabited. The force also demolished two containers that were used for storage nearby. Later, at around 3:30 P.M., Jerusalem Municipality officials also came with Border Police and a bulldozer to the neighborhood of Silwan in East Jerusalem, where they demolished a shack that was home to a family of eight, including six minors, whose original home the municipality had demolished in 2016

On 10 January 2019, plain-clothed Israeli police arrived at Dr. Karim
Hussein’s home in Jabal al-Mukabber, East Jerusalem. They demanded he
hand over security camera footage, even though they had explicitly
arranged to collect it the next day from his brother’s home. The
officers insisted on coming inside, despite refusing to present a search
warrant. A confrontation ensued between the police and other family
members who arrived on the scene and thought that civilians were
assaulting their relatives. One officer beat Dr. Hussein on the head and
he lost consciousness. This incident is but another example of the
violent, arbitrary police conduct that has long since become part of the
daily life in East Jerusalem.

On 14 Dec. '18, soldiers came to al-Jalazun Refugee Camp after residents threw
stones at them and began chasing uninvolved youths. They shot one -
Mahmoud Nakhleh, 18 - in the back as he fled from 80 meters away, and
then prevented residents from helping him and dragged him around. Only
after 15 minutes did they permit his transferal to hospital, where he
was pronounced dead. All the military personnel involved, whether the
ground soldiers or the officials who issued a falsified statement to
justify the shooting, conveyed disrespect for the injured youth's
humanity and confidence that this case will be whitewashed like
thousands of others
