Ken O'Keefe, a former US marine, was on the Mavi Marmara, then was deported to Turkey by the Israelis.
On Juan Cole's website, he claims he disarmed two Israeli commandos & then saved them from some of the other passengers. For this, he was apparently beaten savagely before his deportation (see link above for video showing his bloodied arrival in Turkey.) He is apparently tri-national-- he is an American, has an Irish passport, along with a Palestinian one the Israelis confiscated.
