Hundreds of children of foreign workers' families, who were born in
Israel and live there, received deportation orders from the country.
Some of the Mothers were even arrested themselves. As far as the Israeli
government is concerned, they must be deported and replaced by other
women without children, in order to meet the needs of the Israeli
economy. This week (24/6), Habimah Square in Tel Aviv was filled with
over 1,000 Israeli children parents and teachers who expressed
solidarity with the families of foreign workers and called on the
government to let them stay in Israel.
